Warning!
l Do not leave the UV-C appliance
plugged in when not in use. Unplug from
outlet when not in use and before servicing.
2. Not a toy. Not intended for use by
children under 12 years of age. Close
attention is necessary when used by or
near children.
3. Use only as described in this user
manual. Use only manufacturer's
recommended attachments.
4. Do not use with damaged cord or
plug. If UV C appliance is not working as
it should, has been dropped, damaged,
left outdoors, or dropped into water,
return it to a service center.
5. Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord
as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull
cord around sharp edges or corners. Do
not roll the cord around the appliance
when in use. Keep cord away from
heated surfaces.
6. Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To
unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
7. Do not handle plug or UV-C appliance
with wet hands.
8. The cord is not replaceable.

11. Do not put flammable and explosive
goods into the UV-C appliance.

medical devices or for medical purpos­
es; Signify excludes any and all liability
for any such improper use.
14. After the dry and disinfect+dry
routine, mind your hands when you
open the box due to the high
lemperalure. Allow Lhe box lo cool for
several minutes prior to removing the
object placed inside.

The top lid is provided
with an interlock to reduce the risk of
excessive ultraviolet radiation. Do not
defeat this purpose or attempt to service
without removing the top lid completely.
16. WARNING: Eye damage may result
from direclty viewing the light produced by
the lamp in this appliance. Always turn off
lamp before opening this ( protective) top lid.
17. Supply the UV-C appliance only from
a grounded system. A green terminal (or
a wire connector marked "G", "GR",
"GROUND", OR "GROUNDING" ) is
provided for wiring the UV-C appliance.
To reduce the risk of electric shock,
connect this terminal or connector to the
grounding terminal of the electric service
or supply panel with a continuous
copper wire in accordance with the
electrical installation code.
18. This UV-C appliance has a polarized
plug (one blade is wider than the other).
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this
plug is intended to flt in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully
in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electri­
cian. Do not modify the plug in any way
19. Power supply instruction:
a) A short power-supply cord is provided
to reduce the risks resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Extension cords are available and may
be used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If an extension cord is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the
extension cord should be at least as great as
the electrical rating of the UV-C appliance.
2) The longer cord should be arranged so
that it will not drape over the countertop
or tabletop where it can be tripped over,
snagged, or pulled on uninlenlionally
(especially by children).
