Set up Windows
When you switch on your device for the first time, the welcome wizard helps you
through the installation process. Follow the instructions on the display.
The graphics used in this guide for describing the setup phase are only for reference
and may differ from the actual graphics you see on the display.
1. Run Windows 7
The Windows 7 operating system is preinstalled on your device. You are prompted to
start the Windows 7 set-up during the first start-up. Follow the instructions on the
screen. When you have finished the set-up process, the device is restarted using the
settings you just defined. After the restart, your device is ready to be used.
You receive Windows upgrades automatically when you are connected to the network,
if you have defined so in the settings. Upgrading the system may involve the
transmission of large amounts of data, and data charges may apply. For information
about data transmission charges, contact your network service provider.
2. Nokia Booklet software updater
Nokia Booklet software updater is preinstalled on your device. Nokia Booklet software
updater checks weekly for available updates automatically after login. To download
new software, follow the instructions.
Downloading new software may involve transmission of large amount of data. For
information about data transmission charges, contact your network service provider.
3. Configure wireless connections
To view and select connection methods to use, and to activate or deactivate wireless
connections, press fn + F10.
To connect to wireless LAN (WLAN) networks, open the wireless network connection
dialog from the system tray, at the lower right corner of the display.
4. Social hub
Press fn + F11, and follow the instructions.
5. Sync your mobile device
To open Nokia Ovi Suite Installer and install Nokia Ovi Suite, select the icon on the
desktop. With Nokia Ovi Suite, you can synchronise your Nokia Booklet 3G with a
compatible device.
To synchronise, open Nokia Ovi Suite and follow the instructions.
