    Making Calls • If the Contacts type displayed is not a phone number, your phone places the call to the phone number stored in the Contacts entry. • If the Contacts type displayed is not a phone number and you have more than one phone number stored in the Contacts entry, your phone prompts you to select the phone number you want to place the call to.

    Making Calls Using Mute Muting calls lets you listen to incoming sound without transmitting sound. Mute is available whenever you are on an active call. To turn mute on: Press A under Mute. While mute is on, Unmute appears as a display option.

    Recent Calls The recent calls list stores the numbers of the 20 most recent calls you have made and received. If the number of a recent call is stored in Contacts, the name associated with the number appears on the recent calls list. An icon appears beside the name or number indicating the Contacts type of the number used in the call.

    Entering Text You can enter text into your phone using the traditional method of pressing a key several times for each character, or by pressing a key once for each letter while words likely to be the one you want are chosen from a database. You can also enter symbols and numbers into a text field.

    Contacts Contacts stores up to 600 numbers or addresses. Each Contacts entry can store several numbers or addresses. Information stored in Contacts is saved on your SIM card.
