• Bit 10 – DC4 EV Connected (DC4_EV_Con)
SICHARGE sets this flag to true when the EV is connected to the DC4 outlet and is waiting in
the cable check phase with authentication done. SICHARGE sets this flag to false when the
charging phase is no longer active at this outlet.
• Bit 14 – Internal Measurement Available (IMA)
SICHARGE sets this flag to true when the incomer energy meter option is present; otherwise
it sets this flag to false. Note that when this flag is set to false by SICHARGE, the ELMS "Actual
EVSE power consumed" sub-feature is not available.
• Bit 15 – Heartbeat Sicharge D (HB_S)
SICHARGE provides a toggeling bit on this flag when the "Heartbeat Monitoring" sub-feature
is active i.e., control word bit14 - Heartbeat ELMS active (HB_ELMS_A) is set to true by the
ELMS. The heartbeat is simply on-off pulses of fixed duration (e.g. for 1 sec. each). It must be
noted that the heartbeat is generated by SICHARGE and not by the ELMS.
Error word 1
The bit-wise split of the error word from SICHARGE to the ELMS and its description are discussed
below. Note that in this case LSB is Bit 0 and MSB is it 15.
• Bit 00 – AC1 No Error (AC1_NoErr)
SICHARGE sets this flag to true when it is ready for AC1 outlet charging or if it is already in
operation; otherwise it is set to false.
• Bit 01 – DC1 No Error (DC1_NoErr)
SICHARGE sets this flag to true when it is ready for DC1 outlet charging or if it is already in
operation; otherwise it is set to false.
• Bit 02 – DC2 No Error (DC2_NoErr)
SICHARGE sets this flag to true when it is ready for DC2 outlet charging or if it is already in
operation; otherwise it is set to false.
• Bit 03 – DC3 No Error (DC3_NoErr)
SICHARGE sets this flag to true when it is ready for DC3 outlet charging or if it is already in
operation; otherwise it is set to false.
• Bit 04 – DC4 No Error (DC4_NoErr)
SICHARGE sets this flag to true when it is ready for DC4 outlet charging or if it is already in
operation; otherwise it is set to false.
• Bit 13 – Internal Measurement No Error (IMES_NoErr)
SICHARGE sets this flag to true when the installed incomer energy meter is without
communication errors; otherwise it is set to false.
• Bit 14 – Heartbeat No Error (HB_No_Err)
SICHARGE sets this flag to true when there are no errors in the "Heartbeat Monitoring" sub-
feature, i.e. when the toggeling bit is sent by SICHARGE on status word 1, the same signal
returns to SICHARGE on control word 1 after a short communication delay time.
Another condition in which the flag is set to true is when the "Heartbeat Monitoring" sub-
feature is not in use. In all other cases this flag is set to false and SICHARGE shifts to the
fallback power limit setpoint (G_FallbackPLim) when this occurs.
• Bit 15 – EVSE No Error (G_NoErr)
This is a summary flag for all errors. SICHARGE sets this flag to true when the charger is not
in the error or service operating mode and no other charging output outlets are reporting
errors.
