Preliminary
Work
1.
Make sure t h a t the is suitable f o r the supply
voltage used, then set the supply voltage selector

P r i o r to a c t i v a t e the P O W E R s w i t c h , adjust the
mechanical zero points of the
meter CD and D R I F T meter ©

Press the P O W E R switch w i t h o u t applying
signal ; the I N P U T M O N I T O R lamp lights red.
A f t e r
idle running for 20 to 30 minutes, calibrate
the D R I F T meter to 0% w i t h Z E R O A D J control

is selected, set the O S C s w i t c h ©
then adjust the D R I F T

How to Use as Wow-Flutter
1.
Connect t h i s meter and a test piece ( i . e., a tape
recorder, record player, etc.) as shown in F i g . 5 .
T o measure wow and f l u t t e r of a tape recorder,
use the tape f o r wow and f l u t t e r measurement,
or record the signal output f r o m the O S C terminal

on tape and play back the tape.
F o r measurement of a record player, use the record
. f o r wow and f Sutter measurement.
Note : F o r measurement based on J I S / C C I R S t a n d a r d ,
use tape or a record containing signals whose
center frequency is 3.0kHz. ( F o r measurement
based on D I N S t a n d a r d , the center frequency
shall be 3.15kHz.)
