may have to fiddle with video cables to get the cables ordered correctly or make minor edits to the
xorg.conf file for a specific feature. Vizconfig will setup several common multi-display configurations,
including 3-in-a-row, 4-in-a-row, 2x2, and 3-in-a-row with one display above the center display. In a
horizontal arrangement, the two displays on the left should be attached to the top graphics card. In a
2x2 arrangement, the two displays on the left (one above the other) should be attached to the top
graphics card.
To use vizconfig:
Login as root.

Launch vizconfig using desktop icon or by executing /opt/hp/viztools/bin/run_vizconfig

Select display arrangement from the pull-down labeled "Selected Display Arrangement" (such

as 3x1 or 2x2)
Once a display arrangement is selected, you can also set different options in the "Options"

tab. Your options are:
SLI Multiview (Xinerama) - this enables/disables 2d/3d Xinerama
Use twinview where possible – enables/disables twinview
HardwareOverlays – enables/disables using the hardware overlays
Now its time to setup the different displays/monitors. The different displays are shown in the

picture of the current selected display arrangement along with how the graphics cards are
connected to those displays.
Select the display via the "Selected Display" pull-down. The picture of the display

arrangement will be updated to highlight the selected display.
Now set the resolution for this display with the Display Resolution slider

If you want the display to be connected to the other connector on the graphics card, just click

the "Swap Left_Right Monitors" button. The picture of the display arrangement will be modified
to reflect this change.
Repeat steps 6 thru 8 as needed for each display.

Press "SaveConfig" button to save the changes to the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.

NOTE: Any edits made directly to X config file after running vizconfig, will not be used by vizconfig
next time it is run.... you will need to apply these edits each time vizconfig is run.
If you need to use Stereo, once vizconfig generates an /etc/X11/xorg.conf file or an
/etc/X11/XF86Config file, you will need to add the following line to the Screen entries in order to
enable active stereo. If you are not planning on using stereo, you should not use this option as it uses
a fair amount of the graphics card resources.
Option "Stereo" "3"
In order to cause the two graphics cards to appear as one large screen to the X11 window sys5tem,
the following line should be set in the xorg.conf/XF86Config file. Vizconfig turns Xinerama on by
default.
Option "Xinerama" "true"
