Preface This document provides an explanation of the features and specifications of the ELSA Synergy II and GLoria II AGP graphics boards. There is also a discussion of the graphics board’s video memory and video resolutions.

This graphics card fits in the AGP or AGP Pro accessory slot. There is a total of 32 MB of memory installed on the graphics board which cannot be upgraded.

Video Memory The video memory is a local block of RAM for holding major data structures: Frame Buffer (double buffer), Z-Buffer and T-Buffer (Texture Buffer).
ELSA SYNERGY II and GLoria II Graphics Cards Introduction ELSA GLoria II Graphics Card You have the option of selecting an ELSA Gloria II graphics card for your HP V ISUALIZE Personal Workstation. This graphics card fits in the AGP or AGP Pro accessory slot. There is a total of 64 MB of memory installed on the graphics board which cannot be upgraded.
GLoria II Video Memory The video memory is a local block of RAM for holding major data structures: Frame Buffer (double buffer), Z-Buffer and T-Buffer (Texture Buffer). The Frame Buffer holds one frame steady on the screen while the next one is being processed. The Z-Buffer stores depth information for each pixel.
Introduction Important Safety Instructions WARNING If you have any doubt that you can lift the HP V Workstation or display safely, do not try to move it without help. For your safety, always connect the equipment to a grounded wall outlet.

To update the driver, follow these instructions: 1. Create a temporary directory such as C:\TEMP\ELSADRV\ 2. Download the driver from HP’s web site to a temporary folder on your hard disk. 3. Run the executable file to decompress the contained files. You can do this by double-clicking on the file in Windows Explorer.

Generating Configuration Reports The ELSA Synergy II and GLoria II drivers can generate a report of the system and video configuration. To create this report: 1. Open the Display Properties window (see above) by double clicking on the Display icon in the Control Panel.

• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. CD-ROM: (i) The product recovery CD-ROM and/or support utility software may only be used for restoring the hard disk of the HP computer with which the product recovery CD-ROM was originally provided.(ii) The use of any operating system software by Microsoft contained in any such product recovery CD-ROM shall be governed by the Microsoft End User License Agreement (EULA).
Customer’s remedy shall be a refund or repair. Should HP be unable to replace the media within a reasonable amount of time, Customer’s alternate remedy shall be a refund of the purchase price upon return of the product and all copies.

Obtaining Warranty Service. Warranty service may be obtained from the nearest HP sales office or other location indicated in the owner’s manual or service booklet.
