About This Manual How This Manual Is Organized This manual contains several sections: • The Safety section describes important procedures that can ensure your safety while using the appliance. • The Getting Started section describes the features and functionality of the appliance, including a description of how to set it up and operate it. - Page 4 Before servicing or cleaning the unit, switch power off at service panel and lock service panel. This will prevent power from being switched on accidentally. When the service panel cannot be locked, securely fasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag, to the service panel. Getting Started Before You Begin The blower should be turned on for about five minutes before cooking in order to establish air currents upward through the hood. Thus when heat, smoke, mois- ture, grease and cooking odors are produced, they will be carried outside instead of drifting into other rooms. -

Cleaning and Maintenance Care and Cleaning Cleaning WARNING: Be sure the entire hood (including the filters and light bulbs) has cooled and grease has solidified before attempting to clean any part of the appliance. DO NOT use the following! Abrasive Pads such as those made from steel wool SOS , Brillo or plastic ... - Page 7 Remove the filter for cleaning: Turn plastic rings counterclockwise until they stop. Pull down on the front of the filter, then pull the back of the filter out (toward you) until it clears the clips. Figure 2: Filter To replace the filters: insert the back ends over the clips first, then push up and over the lights.

Maintenance Maintenance The following maintenance procedures can be performed without the aid of a ser- vicer. Always contact a servicer for other repairs. Lights Use a 12V halogen bulb (max. 20Watt) with a two pin, G4 base. NOTE: Turn off the lights and fan and allow lights to cool before handling. If lights do not operate upon installation, check for proper insertion. -

Avant d’effectuer le service ou le nettoyage, mettre l’alimentation hors circuit au panneau de service et le verrouiller afin d’empêcher toute mise en circuit acciden- telle. Avant de commencer Mettre l’appareil en circuit environ 5 minutes avant la cuisson afin d’établir les courants d’air ascendants dans la hotte. Ainsi lorsqu’il y aura de la chaleur, fumée, humidité, graisse et odeurs de cuisson, elles seront attirées vers l’exté- rieur au lieu dans la pièce. - Page 16 Entretien et nettoyage Nettoyage AVERTISSEMENT : s’assurer que toute la hotte (incluant filtres et ampoules) a suffisamment refroidie et que la graisse ait figée avant de nettoyer l’appareil. Filtre au charbon Un filtre au charbon est utilisé seulement avec l’appareil de recirculation. Il est en plus du filtre aluminium susmentionné. Quite el filtro para su limpieza. Gire los anillos de plástico en sentido contrario del reloj hasta que se detengan. Jale el frente del filtro, luego jale la parte trasera del filtro hacia sí mismo hasta que libere los sujetadores. Figura 2: Filtro Para reemplazar los filtros: primero inserte las partes traseras sobre los sujetado- res, luego empuje hacia arriba y encima de las luces. - Page 28 Mantenimiento Se pueden realizar los siguientes procedimientos de mantenimiento sin la ayuda de un proveedor de servicios. Siempre contacte a un proveedor de servicios para otras reparaciones. Luces Use un foco de halógeno de 12V (máx. 20Watt) con una base G4 de dos pines. Nota: Apague las luces y el ventilador y permita que se enfrien las luces antes de manejarlos.
