NOTE
• Always reset the inverter after making the setting of the parameters. After you have changed the communication-related
parameters, communication cannot be established until the inverter reset.
• Avoid simultaneous access from multiple devices. Otherwise, a communication error (error code: 0x80010003, 0x80010101,
or 0x80010102) may occur.
1.4.6
Connection of inverter via Ethernet (CC-Link IE
TSN communication)
The inverter can be connected to a personal computer via the Ethernet port of the inverter (FR-A800/FR-F800 with FR-A8NCG
in it, FR-E800-(SC)EPA, or FR-E800-(SC)EPB).

Set the range of connectable IP addresses for the network
devices. (When Pr.837 to Pr.840 = "0 (initial value)", the
0 to 255, 9999
function is disabled.)
0 to 255, 9999

0 to 255
To limit the network devices that send the operation or
speed command through the Ethernet network (MODBUS/
TCP or CC-Link IE Field Network Basic), set the range of IP
0 to 255
addresses of the devices. When Pr.844 to Pr.847 = "0
(initial value)", no IP address is specified for sending
0 to 255
commands through the Ethernet network. In this case,
operation through the Ethernet network (MODBUS/TCP or
0 to 255
CC-Link IE Field Network Basic) is not available. When four
or more clients attempt a connection to the inverter during
0 to 255, 9999
MODBUS/TCP communication, the connection attempted
from outside of the IP address range set for Ethernet
0 to 255, 9999
command source selection may be forcibly closed.
When the inverter does not receive a packet within the time
calculated by multiplying the Pr.850 setting by 8 in seconds
1 to 7200
from the devices with the TCP connection established, the
connection will be forcibly closed.
Signal loss detection
0
disabled
The alarm (LF)
2
signal is output for a
signal loss.
A protective function
3
(E.OP1) is activated
for a signal loss.
Ethernet communication is available, but the inverter output
0
is shut off in the NET operation mode.
Set the interval of the communication check (signal loss
detection) time for all devices with IP addresses in the range
0.1 to 999.8 s
specified for Ethernet command source selection (Pr.844 to
Pr.849). If a no-communication state persists for the
permissible time or longer, the inverter output is shut off.
9999
No communication check (signal loss detection)
Description
Set the availability of the signal loss
detection and select the action when
Ethernet communication is
interrupted by physical factors.
