Shooting panoramic images

Shoots multiple images and allows you to create a panoramic image from composed
images while you pan the camera. You can create both up and down, and right and left
panoramic images.

Set the mode dial to
Panorama).

Hold the camera at the position
where you can see the LCD screen
clearly.
Press the MENU button for changing [Shooting
Direction] or [Image Size] (page 58).

Fully press the shutter button.

Pan the camera following the
indication on the screen.
When a guidance bar reaches to the end, the
shooting stops and panoramic images are
recorded.
Notes
If you cannot pan the camera across the entire subject within the given time, a gray area occurs in
the composed image. If this happens, move the camera fast to record a full panoramic image.
Since several images are stitched together, the stitched part will not be recorded smoothly.
You cannot create panoramic images in the following situations:
– You pan the camera too fast or too slow
– There is too much camera shake
– You pan the camera in a different direction from the setting
Under low light conditions, panoramic images may be blurred.
