Backlight and illumination

There is backlight illuminating the display.
The lower/numeric keyboard is top lit by 2 LEDs, and the top keyboard is also lit by 2.
There is one driver for the display, and another for all keys.

Ambient light sensor (ALS)

The ambient light sensor is used to control the back lights of the phone:
• Keyboard light is switched on only when environment is dark/dim
• Display backlights are dimmed when environment is dark/dim.

Slide switch

This is a slide phone that wakes up when it slides open. It is implemented with two hall sensors mounted
on the main PWB and a magnet fitted to the sliding mechanism. The hall detector output is active low (0V)
and 1.8V when not active. This arrangement makes the phone able to detect - closed and open position. The
two hall sensors are overlapping each other to cover the entire sliding range.
