Do not work on steep slopes. Work across the face of slopes,
not up and down.
Never cross gravel paths or roads while the appliance
is running.
Never touch the cutting blade while the appliance
is running.
A coasting blade can cause injury while it continues to spin
after the trigger is released. Maintain control until the blade
has completely stopped moving.
Do not put the appliance down until the cutting blade has
come to a complete standstill.
Be aware of blade thrust. The appliance could suddenly
move sideways, forward or backwards when the cutting
accessory jams or cataches on an object such as a sapling
or tree stump.
The thrust may be strong enough to suddenly move the
unit in any direction. Blade thrust can occur without
warning if the blade snags, stalls or binds.
Keep hands and feet away from the cutting blade at all
times, especially when switching on the motor.
Before using the appliance and after any impact, check for
signs of wear or damage and repair as necessary.
Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used
near children.
This appliance is not to be used as a toy.
Use in a dry location only. Do not allow the appliance to
become wet.
Do not immerse the appliance in water.
Do not open the body casing. There are not user‑serviceable
parts inside
Do not operate the appliance in explosive atmospheres,
such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust.
Do not use toothed blades, such as saw blades, with
this product.
Stop using IMMEDIATELY if you feel excessive vibration.
Inspect the product thoroughly for loose hardware or
damage before continuing, specifically the blade. Replace
affected parts.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Do not use this product near bystanders. The metal blade
could throw or richochet small objects that it may come
in contact with, such as small rocks, causing serious injury
to bystandars.
KEEP ALL BYSTANDERS AWAY – at a safe distance from
work area, especially children. MAKE SURE that other
persons and pets are at least 100' (30 m) away.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.

When the appliance is stored or transported in a vehicle
it should be placed in the boot or restrained to prevent
movement following sudden changes in speed or direction.
When not in use, the battery should be removed. The
appliance should be stored in a dry , well ventilated place
out of reach of children.
Children should not have access to stored appliances.

ANSI S12.6 (S3.19) hearing protection,
NIOSH/OSHA/MSHA respiratory protection.

WARNING: Some dust contains chemicals known
to State of California to cause cancer, birth defects
or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these
chemicals are:
compounds in fertilizers,
compounds in insecticides, herbicides
and pesticides,
arsenic and chromium from chemically
treated lumber.
To reduce your exposure to these chemicals, wear
approved safety equipment such as dust masks that
are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles.

WARNING: Use of this tool can generate and/or
disperse dust, which may cause serious and permanent
respiratory or other injury. Always use NIOSH/OSHA
approved respiratory protection appropriate for
the dust exposure. Direct particles away from face
and body.

WARNING: Always wear proper personal hearing
protection that conforms to ANSI S12.6 (S3.19)
during use. Under some conditions and duration
of use, noise from this product may contribute to
hearing loss.

CAUTION: When not in use, place tool on its
side on a stable surface where it will not cause a
tripping or falling hazard. Some tools with a large
battery pack will stand upright but may be easily
knocked over.
Air vents often cover moving parts and should be
avoided. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught
in moving parts.
