    Pro:Centric Interactive Menu Navigation LG’s Pro:Centric pillow speaker provides access to both interactive menus and regular TV features. Press PORTAL on the Pro:Centric pillow speaker to access the interactive menus. Note: Interactive menu options may vary, depending on Pro:Centric features enabled for the site. The following are default interactive menus.

    TV in Factory Default State When the TV is in a factory default state, LG’s Setup Wizard (see pages 12 to 13) provides automated or manual options for configuring the Pro:Centric server settings. The EZ-Manager branch of the Setup Wizard also provides a USB configuration option that enables you to configure a TV for FTG Mode via CPU using a TLX file stored on a USB memory device.

    LG Setup Wizard (Cont.) Initiate Configuration or Exit the LG Setup Wizard The Welcome screen provides a brief introduction to the LG Setup Wizard. WELCOME TO LG’S SETUP WIZARD This wizard features two different setup options: . The EXPRESS SCRIPT allows automated setup of hospital features, such as a pillow speaker, and supports physical tuning of clear content channels (no DRM).

    EZ-Manager Wizard (Cont.) Configure Pro:Centric Settings Once you select “NEXT” from the TV Configuration Options screen, the Searching for Pro:Centric Server screen is displayed. Note: Select the “BACK” button, where available, to check previous settings, as necessary. Also note that if any of the configuration steps fails, you will see a “Diagnostics” screen with an indication of the failure.

If the process is successful, no further user interaction is required, though, in some instances, where the option (for example “NEXT”) is available, you may manually move forward to subsequent steps within the wizard to speed up the process. PROCESSING THE PRO:CENTRIC CONFIGURATION Downloading the Pro:Centric application files takes a few minutes.

With the Searching for Pro:Centric Server screen on display, use the Left/Right arrow keys on the Installer Remote to select MANUAL PRO:CENTRIC at the bottom right of the screen, and then press OK. In the Pro:Centric Manual Configuration screen (see examples below), you will be able to configure the appropriate Pro:Centric settings in the TV.

Note: With the EZ-Manager Configuration Complete screen on display, you can also manually turn off or reboot the TV.

    Express Script Initiate the Express Script Note: While the Express Script enables you to set up TVs individually in lieu of cloning, you can also use the resulting Express Script TV Setup for cloning purposes (clone programmer only), if desired. However, note that TV setup menu customization via the Express Script is limited to Channels Menu options.

    Express Script (Cont.) Complete the TV Configuration The following procedure describes the remaining steps in the Express Script. You can select the “BACK” button, where available, to check previous settings, as necessary. Typically, if you do not modify the default settings, the “NEXT” button is automatically selected when you proceed forward within the Express Script.

If you move on to the next step without running Auto Tuning, there will be no analog or digital channels in the channel lineup.

An attempt to transfer more than 141 channels of any combination will result in a PTC Channel Map of exactly 141 channels; any extra channels will not be available in the PTC Channel Map.

    Custom Master TV Setup This section describes how to create a customized Master TV Setup for cloning purposes when the TV is in Pass-through Mode. All cloning (Learning and Teaching) processes on the TV are performed via USB memory device / TLX file. The Master TV Setup may be Learned to a TLX file, which can then be used to Teach configuration either to TVs that are to remain in Pass-through Mode or to TVs that are to be configured for FTG Mode via CPU.

    Cloning Procedures Cloning typically refers to the process of capturing a Master TV Setup and transferring it to a Target TV. This section describes how to save (Learn) a Master TV Setup and transfer (Teach) it to a Target TV using a USB memory device / TLX file. You can also create a TLX file using the FTG File Manager and then use the Teaching procedure to transfer the TLX file to Target TVs.

    IP Environment Setup The IP Environment Menu enables you to set up the network features of the TV. If you intend to create a Master TV Setup for cloning purposes (see Master TV Setup procedure on pages 46 to 48), all IP Environment settings, with the exception of Wired Network Connection settings and the TV name (editable in the Media Share Menu), may be cloned.

However, note that a wired connection is always NETWORK prioritized over a wireless connection. That is, when the TV is Pro:Centric turned OFF and then back ON, if a LAN cable is detected between the TV and the network, the TV will default to the wired connection.

If the network connection is not successful, the progress display will identify the network element in which the connection failed. Check your cabling and/or verify the configuration data, as necessary.

IP Stream Control If necessary, due to an audio and/or video stream delay, IP Stream Control options enable you to compensate for synchronization irregularities by allowing audio PTS and video PTS offset modifications. This menu also enables you to specify the IGMP version (2 or 3). Note that any modifications to these settings should be performed by qualified personnel only.
