W hen KN O B PARAMETER G RO UP switch [VCF] is
selected, the eig ht CO N TRO L kno bs will access specific
Vo ltag e Co ntro lled Filter-related parameters.
The VCF is a filter which permits a specific rang e o f
frequencies to pass, while cutting o ff the rest, thus g iving
yo u co nsiderable co ntro l o ver many aspects o f the timbre.
Available parameters include cuto ff frequency rang e o f the
VCF and rang e o f the reso nance.
The VCF can also be co ntro lled by the attack time, decay
time, sustain level and release time o f the FEG (Filter
Envelo pe G enerato r), which lets yo u shape ho w the timbre
o f the vo ice chang es o ver time, fro m when a key is
pressed, held, then released, and subsequently ho w lo ng it
takes fo r the so und to terminate.

Atta ck
The Attack setting determines the attack time o f the
FEG , which is the time it takes fo r the sig nal to reach
its maximum cuto ff frequency level after a key is
pressed (key o n). T urning the kno b to the rig ht
pro duces a lo ng er Attack time.

The Decay setting determines the decay time o f the
FEG , which is the time it takes fo r the sig nal to reach
its sustain level fro m the maximum level while a key is
held. T urning the kno b to the rig ht pro duces a lo ng er
Decay time.

Susta in
The Sustain setting determines the level o f sustain o f the
FEG , which is the fixed level o f the cuto ff frequency
maintained as lo ng as the key is held. T urning the kno b
to the rig ht increases the Sustain level.

The Release setting determines the release time o f the
FEG , which is the time it takes fo r the sig nal to reach a
level o f " 0 " after a key is released (key o ff). T urning the
kno b to the rig ht increases the Release time.
