    Not available for DCP models. A wireless network connection is supported only between the Brother machine and an access point for PC’s running Windows x64 Edition. To use the Brother machine through a network, you need to configure the print server, and set up the computers you use.

    In a larger network, we recommend a Network Shared printing environment. The “Server” or the “Print Server” must use the TCP/IP Print Protocol. The Brother machine needs an appropriate IP address configuration unless the machine is shared via the parallel port or USB port of the server.

    Wireless networks use channels. Each wireless channel is on a different frequency. When configuring your Brother device to work in a wireless network, you must set it to the channel that is used on the wireless network that you are connecting to. There are up to 14 different channels that can be used when using a wireless network.

    Changing the print server settings Once you have configured your machine for a wireless network, you can change the wireless settings using the BRAdmin Professional utility, the Remote Setup software or the control panel on the front of the Brother machine.

    The LAN menu selections of the control panel allow you to set up the Brother machine for your network configuration. Press Menu, then press a or b to select LAN. Proceed to the menu selection you wish to configure.

SecureEasySetup The SecureEasySetup™ software allows you to configure the wireless network easier than configuring it manually.

    Network I/F You can choose the network connection type, wired network connection or wireless network connection. If you want to use the wired network connection, select Wired LAN, and if you want to use the wireless network connection, select WLAN. You can only have one network connection type active at a time.
