Dairy products, pasta and fish:
Dairy products, pasta and fish break down or flake when cooked in the slow cooker. Only add these
ingredients once the cooking process is complete for the other ingredients.

8.4 Switching on / Selecting the power level

1.
Fill the ceramic pan (4) as described in the "Filling the ceramic pan" section and place it on the
heater unit (8).
Warning!
Make sure the power cable (10) is not in your working area. Otherwise, you could
accidentally pull on it and tip it over or make the slow cooker fall off the work surface.
2.
Connect the power cord (10) plug to a live mains socket.
3.
Turn the control dial (7) to the position you want: LOW (lowest setting), MEDIUM (medium setting)
or HIGH (highest setting). The power indicator (5) lights up and the device begins heating up.
Leave the glass lid (2) closed during cooking where possible. Every time you open the glass
lid (2), the cooking time gets longer.
Risk of burns!
The glass lid (2) and ceramic pan (4) get very hot when the slow cooker is in use. Be careful
not to burn yourself. Wear oven gloves if necessary.
4.
Towards the end of the cooking time, check that the ingredients are properly cooked. If not, allow
them to cook a little longer.

8.4.1 Recommended cooking times

The table below sets out the recommended cooking times for various foods. Please note that these are
guidelines only. The actual cooking time depends on the size and freshness of the food, the amount in the
ceramic pan (4) and your personal taste.
