Connecting to a PC

This player can be connected to a PC using an ATAPI card (option: MEDC01AX).
By connecting to a PC, you can use this player as a 4 times speed DVD-ROM
drive or a 24 times speed CD-ROM drive.
When connected to a PC using an ATAPI card, the player operates as a DVD-ROM/CD-ROM drive
exclusively.
When you do not use this player as a DVD-ROM/CD-ROM drive, disconnect the connection cable from the
PC connector. As long as it is connected the cable, the player will not function as a video player.
An ATAPI card (option) is necessary for connection to a PC.
For details, refer to the instruction supplied with the ATAPI card.
1 Connect the connection cable of the ATAPI card to the player.

Connect the supplied AC adapter to the player.

Connect the ATAPI card to a PC.
Notes
• While you are using the player as a DVD-ROM/CD-ROM drive, audio signals (including those from the headphone jack) are
not output.
• While you are using the player as a DVD-ROM/CD-ROM drive, no picture is displayed on the LCD.
• Some PC systems may require software to play DVD video disc and VIDEO CDs.
