shock in the case of a damaged power cord (7).
 Do not open the base (5) housing - it contains no serviceable
parts. Opening the housing can expose you to the risk of
electric shock.
 If you notice any smoke, unusual noises or strange smells,
switch off the kettle immediately and remove the mains plug
from the wall outlet. If this occurs, the kettle should no longer
be used until it has been inspected by authorized service
personnel. Never inhale smoke from a possible appliance
fire. If you do inadvertently inhale smoke, seek medical
attention. Smoke inhalation can be damaging to your health.
 Make sure that the power cord (7) cannot be damaged by
sharp edges or hot spots. After use, always wind the power
cord (7) back around the cord wrap underneath the base
(5).
 Make sure that the power cord (7) cannot become crushed
or squashed.
 The appliance must always be disconnected from the mains
when left unsupervised and before assembly, disassembly or
cleaning.
 When disconnecting the power supply from the wall outlet,
always pull on the mains plug and never on the power cord
(7) itself.
 If you notice visible damage to the kettle or the power cord
(7), switch the appliance off immediately, disconnect the
mains plug from the wall outlet and contact our hotline (see
"Warranty information" section).
