Enter the IP address [10.0.1.100] (confirm that the "Specify an IP address" option button is clicked) in the IP Address text box of the IP
Address tab.
Enter [255.255.255.0] in the Subnet Mask text box.
Click the [OK] button, close the TCP/IP properties, then restart the notebook PC.

2-4. Inspection Procedure of Access Point Modem

2-4-1. Preparation

Required Tools:
• Notebook VAIO in which Windows 98SE is installed
• Supplied CD-ROM
• Instruction Manual supplied with the PCWA-C100 (4-647-085-1s)
• PC Card
• Access Point to be inspected
• Supplied AC power adapter (1-468-527-11)
Setup of the notebook PC for modem inspection (The OS must be Windows 98SE.)
1. Do the procedure on pages 13 to 16 of the PCWA-C100 Instruction Manual and install the driver.

2. Do the procedure on pages 18 to 24 of the PCWA-C100 Instruction Manual and set the network environment.

3. Do the procedure on pages 40 to 41 of the PCWA-C100 Instruction Manual and install the software.

4. Do the procedure on pages 44 to 46 and 48 of the PCWA-C100 Instruction Manual and set the connection environment.

2-4-2. Inspection

1. Connect the phone line to the Access Point.
2. Connect the AC power adapter to the Access Point to supply current.
3. Do the procedure on pages 49 to 51 of the PCWA-C100 Instruction Manual and set the phone mode (including the related ISP).

4. Prepare the notebook PC for modem inspection and do the procedure of "Connecting to the Internet" on page 54 of the PCWA-C100
Instruction Manual to test the connection to the ISP (use a contract ISP).
Regarding "Connecting to the Internet"
• Judge the Access Point as good when items 2, 3 and 4 are complete.
• If the connection fails in item 2, Web sites cannot be viewed in item 3, or the connection cannot be cut in item 4, execute again
from item 3 of Section 2-4-2, "Inspection".
• Judge the Access Point as defective if items 2, 3 and 4 of "Connecting to the Internet" cannot be completed after performing the
above.
5. After inspection and before shipment, return the settings of the unit to the factory settings. (Refer to Section 2-6, "How to Return to the
Factory Settings".)
