Safety with children
Children under 8 years of age must be kept away from the vacuum
cleaner and Electrobrush unless they are constantly supervised.
Children 8 years and older may only use the vacuum cleaner and
Electrobrush unsupervised if they have been shown how to use them
safely and recognise and understand the consequences of incorrect
operation.
Children must not be allowed to clean or maintain the vacuum
cleaner and Electrobrush unsupervised.
Please supervise children in the vicinity of the vacuum cleaner and
Electrobrush and do not let them play with them.

Technical safety

Before connecting the Electrobrush please ensure that the con-
nection data on the data plate of the vacuum cleaner (voltage and
frequency) match the mains electricity supply exactly. The vacuum
cleaner is suitable for use with 50Hz or 60Hz without modification.
Please check the Electrobrush, the electro suction hose and the
electro telescopic suction tube for any visible signs of damage be-
fore using them for the first time. They must not be used if there is
any sign of damage to them.
Repairs to the Electrobrush, electro suction hose and electro suc-
tion tube during the guarantee period should only be undertaken by
a Miele authorised service technician. Otherwise any subsequent
damage to them will not be covered by the guarantee.
Do not let the vacuum cleaner, the Electrobrush, the electro tele-
scopic suction tube and the electro suction hose get wet. Clean only
with a dry cloth or slightly damp cloth when disconnected from the
mains supply.
