Description
The IAQ6-1 adaptor is used for direct connection between the control panel and a
PC computer with Sylcom 60 (upload/download) program.
Opening the control panel
IC60 compact control panel:
Loosen the 4 retaining screws.
Remove the cover and the lexan inlay cover.
IC60 modular control panel
Unscrew the 2 retaining screws.
Remove the cover.

Beschreibung
Der Schnittstellenadapter IAQ6-1 wird benötigt um eine Alarmzentrale mit einem
PC, auf welchen die Sylcom 60 Software ausgeführt wird, zu verbinden.
Öffnen der Zentrale
IC60 Kompakt Zentrale:
Die Schrauben 1-4 mit einigen Umdrehungen lösen.
Entfernen sie den Gehäusedeckel und die Lexan Einlage.
IC60 Modular Zentrale
Entfernen Sie die Schrauben des Gehäusedeckels.
Entfernen Sie den Gehäusedeckel.

Connecting
Make sure you have installed the USB driver on your PC computer (see
"Installing the USB driver").
Connect the small USB connector of the cable into the interface IAQ6-1
adaptor.
Plug the interface IAQ6-1 adaptor into the connector marked CONFIG (Fig.
2a for compact control panel, 2b for modular control panel)
Plug the USB cable into the USB socket of the PC.
Start the Sylcom 60 program on the PC computer.
For operations instructions refer to the Sylcom 60 manual.
Installing the USB driver
Before first time using the IAQ6-1 adaptor, install the USB driver on your PC
computer:
Download the USB driver that can be found either on the Sylcom 60 CD
(IAS6-1) or at the following internet link: www.siemens.com/homesecurity in
the download section.
Save the file to your desktop.
Open the file into the default path:
C:\SiLabs\MCU\CP210x\Windows_2K_XP_S2K3
From the folder named: C:\SiLabs\MCU\CP210x\Windows_2K_XP_S2K3
run the file (it might take about 60 sec. to install): CP210xVCPInstaller.exe
After the installation is complete, connect the interface IAQ6-1 adaptor:
The computer automatically will find and install the device.
Verbinden
Vergewissern Sie sich das der USB-Treiber auf Ihren PC installiert ist
(siehe "Installieren des USB-Treibers").
Verbinden Sie den mini USB Stecker mit dem Schnittstellenadapter IAQ6-1.
Verbinden Sie den Schnittstellenadaptor mit dem CONFIG Stecker der
Alarmzentrale (Fig. 2a für Kompakt Zentrale, 2b für Modular Zentrale)
Verbinden Sie den USB Stecker mit dem USB Port Ihres PC.
Starten Sie die Sylcom 60 Software.
Weiter Informationen bezüglich der Sylcom 60 Software, entnehmen Sie
bitte dem Sylcom 60 Benutzerhandbuch.
Installieren des USB-Treiber
Bevor Sie das erste mal den Schnittstellenadapter verwenden, installieren Sie
bitte die zugehörigen USB-Treiber:
Die benötigten Treiberdateien finden Sie auf der Sylcom 60 CD oder unter:
www.siemens.com/homesecurity im Downloadbereich.
Speichern Sie diese Datei auf Ihren Desktop.
Öffnen Sie die Datei in den angegebenen Pfad:
C:\SiLabs\MCU\CP210x\Windows_2K_XP_S2K3
Gehen Sie in den Ordner:
C:\SiLabs\MCU\CP210x\Windows_2K_XP_S2K3
und starten Sie die Datei (Installationsdauer: ca. 60 Sekunden):
CP210xVCPInstaller.exe
Nach der Installation, verbinden Sie den Schnittstellenadapter mit dem USB-
Port Ihres PC.
Der PC sollte den Schnittstellenadapter jetzt automatisch erkennen.
