Procedure

1 Recall the HP37718A/19A Default Settings as shown on page 3-2.
2 Select
SETTINGS CONTROL
[COUPLED] on the
139.264 Mb/s
3 Set the
TRANSMIT
shown opposite.
4 Connect Cable Simulator E4
between the PDH/DSn 75Ω OUT
and 75Ω IN ports.
5 Press
RESULTS
then
SCAN
RUN/STOP
the measurement.
6 Ensure that NO TROUBLE is
displayed on the
display after 30 seconds.
7 Press
RUN/STOP

8 Set the
TRANSMIT
shown opposite.
9 Connect Cable Simulator E3
between PDH/DSn 75Ω OUT and
75Ω IN ports.
10 Press
RESULTS
then
SCAN
RUN/STOP
the measurement.
11 Ensure that NO TROUBLE is
displayed on the
display after 30 seconds.
