The remote control is preset to operate Sony brand video equipment.

If you have video eqmpment other than Sony brand that you warn to control
with the TV's remote control, use the following procedure to program the
remote control.
The equipment must have infrared (IR) remote capability in
order to be used with the remote control.
Turn to the list of "Manufacturur's Codes" on page 53. and fred the
three-digit code number for the manufacturer of your equipment. (If
more than one code nunlber is listed, use the nunaber listed first,
Press repeatedly until the DVD/VCR. SAT/CABLE or
!.LINK indicator lights up.
Press for five seconds until the indicator of the selected
input flashes.
While the desired indicator is flashing, enter the three-digit
manufacturer's code number.

You must do step 5 within 10 seconds of step 4, or you must
redo steps 4 through 5.
To check if the code nunlber works, aim the TV's remote control at the
eqmpment and prcss that corrcsponds with that equipment. If
tr responds, you are done. If not, try using another code listed for that
manufacturer.
lfmore than one codc number is listed, try entcring them one by one
until you come to the corrcct code for your equipment.
lfyou enter a new code nttmber, the code nunlber you previously
entercd at that setting is erased.
In some cases, you may not bc able to opcrate your eqtupmem with the
supplied remote control. In such cases, use the equipment's own rcmote
control unit.
Whenever you remove the batteries to replace them. the code numbers
may revert to thc factory semng and must be reset.
