4. Wire the Flow Meter and Temperature Inputs per the wiring diagram
found on the inside door of the FEC920, or see Figure 3 below:
5. Temperature transmitter signals are expected to be 4 – 20 mA with the loop power provided by
the FEC920
a. If you have passive elements you will need to include a temperature transmitter to provide
the proper signal to the FEC920.
b. Install temperature transmitter per the manufacture guidelines
c. Wire the output of the temperature transmitter to the terminals per Figure 2.
d. Wire the temperature elements to the temperature transmitter per the Transmitter
manufacture guidelines.
6. Attach the network cable if required
a. RJ45 connector is preinstalled at location 12 of Figure 1.
b. See the FEC920 User Manual for network setup
7. Apply power to the FEC920, Flow Meter and Temperature devices
a. Unit will initialize and display the process variables as measured and calculated
CAUTION
Unit is shipped with weather tight seals on the enclosure conduit holes. Install a seal on any unused opening
to insure compliance to IP65 Standard.
