6.1

Configuring operation

Operation of the DCU 220 can also be configured
by the end customer. The functions of the programs
cited below are described in the operating manual
DCU 220 (1 689 989 221) and in the User Handbook
(1 689 989 235):

Testing hardware faults or software faults

There are various procedures, depending on the type of fault. Consult the following table for the recommended
procedures.

Recommended procedure
1. Check if voltage, power supply unit and storage
battery are OK (see LED status).
2. Install a loaded and tested hard disk.
1. Remove Bluetooth USB stick.
2. Install a loaded and tested hard disk.
3. Install hard disk of defective DCU 220 into test-
ed DCU 220.
4. If there is a software fault (step 2 not successful),
then perform Recovery.
1. Check installation of hard disk
2. Install a loaded and tested hard disk.
1. Uninstall third-party software.
2. Restore operating system
(Recovery process)
1. Enable WLAN (switch off the flight mode).
2. Test and reset WLAN signal and router.
3. Test and reset WLAN module DCU 220.
1. Enable Bluetooth (switch off flight mode).
2. Test and reset Bluetooth signal and Bluetooth
router.
3. Test and reset Bluetooth module DCU 220.
4. Install SP1 (only with system version 1.4,
DVD is in scope of delivery)
1. Switch on speaker.
2. Connect up external speaker.
