Notes
• You cannot store data to a disc that contains material recorded in MD mode.
To use such a disc, format it in Hi-MD mode using the supplied SonicStage.
In this case, the entire contents of the disc will be erased.
• The drive will not be recognized as an external data storage device while
SonicStage is active.
• Make sure not to delete the file management folder or file (HMDHIFI folder,
HI-MD.IND file, or THUMBxxx.DAT file) on the Windows Explorer.
• Damage to the data or other problems may occur if your computer changes to
system suspend, sleep, or hibernation mode while the drive is still connected.
For this reason, you should disable the system suspend, sleep, or hibernation
function. If you want to switch your computer to system suspend mode, make
sure that the ACCESS lamp on the drive is turned off and the USB cable is
disconnected.
• Make sure not to restart the computer while it is still connected to the drive.
• If the drive is not recognized by the computer, reconnect it.
• Make sure to place the drive at a stable, vibration-free place during recording.
• Make sure not to connect the drive to the computer through a USB hub.
• We do not ensure trouble-free operation on all computers that satisfy the
system requirements.
