Keep these instructions in a safe place and pass them on to any... - Page 5 Warning and Safety instructions Correct application This Tepan Yaki is designed for domestic use and for use in similar environments. This Tepan Yaki is not intended for outdoor use. This Tepan Yaki is intended for domestic use only to cook food and keep it warm.
- Page 6 Warning and Safety instructions Safety with children Children under 8 years of age must be kept away from the Tepan Yaki unless they are constantly supervised. Children aged 8 and older may only use the Tepan Yaki without supervision if they have been shown how to use it in a safe manner.
- Page 7 Unauthorised installation, maintenance and repairs can cause considerable danger for the user. Installation, maintenance and re- pairs must only be carried out by a Miele authorised technician. Damage to the Tepan Yaki can compromise your safety. Check it for visible signs of damage.
- Page 8 Miele authorised service technician. Otherwise the warranty is invalidated. Miele can only guarantee the safety of the appliance when genu- ine original Miele replacement parts are used. Faulty components must only be replaced by Miele spare parts.
- Page 9 Do not use the Tepan Yaki if it is damaged or if it suffers damage during use. Switch it off immediately. Disconnect the Tepan Yaki from the electrical supply. Contact Miele Service. If the Tepan Yaki is built in behind a furniture front (e.g. a door), do not close the furniture door while the Tepan Yaki is in use.
- Page 10 Warning and Safety instructions Correct use The Tepan Yaki gets hot when in use and remains hot for quite a while after being switched off. There is a danger of burning until the residual heat indicators go out. Due to the high temperatures radiated, objects left near the Tepan Yaki when it is switched on could start to burn.

The induction principle The cooking surface of the Tepan Yaki is heated by induction. An induction coil is located under cooking surface. When the Tepan Yaki is switched on, this coil creates a magnetic field which impacts directly on the cooking surface and heats it up. -
