Enter a digit and press [← *] to store in the next available location beginning with that
digit.

Choose label: Press [↑] or [↓] to scroll through the icons. From left to right: Work, home,
mobile, pager, fax, or other.
Press [MENU] or [STO] to select the highlighted icon.

Store more
You will see: Enter next number. Enter up to 4 numbers per location. Press [STO] when
you have finished entering numbers.
Tip: Always store your voice mail number in location 98.
Tip: The [**] symbol in your display represents the smart button.

Enter name
Enter a name to identify the phone number, or skip this stage and go to stage 7. Your will
see: Alpha or Press [**]

Press [MENU] or [STO] when you have finished entering the name. Your phone will
confirm by displaying the quantity of numbers stored and the number of the location
where they are stored.
Entering names
When the display shows Alpha or Press [**], you can use the keypad to produce any letter in the
alphabet. Use the letters printed on the key as a guide. For example, press [2] to insert A, B, or
C as shown:

2 times to insert a B

3 times to insert a C
Press
4 times to insert a 2
To enter a name into the phonebook:
1.
Enter letter
Press a key as many times as necessary to enter a letter. The next letter on the key will
appear with each press.
Toggle case: Press [↑] or [↓] to switch between upper and lower case.

Advance cursor
Press [#→ ] to advance the cursor to the next space.
Press [← *] or [CLR] to erase a letter if you make a mistake.
3.
Enter marks
Press [1] to scroll through the available punctuation marks:
<space>1.@/:',?!-_#*"$%&+;=\( ) < > [ ]
4.
Finish storing
Enter up to 24 letters, including spaces. Press [**] or [STO] when you are finished.
