* If you cover the microphone, your voice may
not be heard clearly to the other party or the
voice may not be recorded correctly.
* The microphone on the rear side is for
reducing the noise, and it does not pick up
your voice.

n Infrared data port
Use to send or receive data via infrared
communication.
o pPhonebook button
Use to display phonebook, to perform the
operation shown on the right of the guide line
or to switch the call by Speakerphone.
Press for 1 sec. or more to perform voice search
of the phonebook.
p Multi-cursor button

Use to perform selected operation or to display
the convenient tool menu. When there is an
information to notify, display the contents of it.
UMail/Up button
Use to display mail menu screen, to move the
cursor up and down, to adjust the volume (up) or
to display the mail folder list after receiving new
mails.
Press for 1 sec. or more to display mail creation
screen.
DDown button
Use to display i-mode menu, to move the cursor
down or to adjust the volume (down).
Press for 1 sec. or more to display i-αppli list.
LReceived calls/Left button
Use to display received calls, to move the
cursor left, to switch screen or to adjust the
volume (down).
R Redial/Right button
Use to display received calls, to move the
cursor right, to switch screen or to adjust the
volume (up).
q fEnd/Power button
Use to terminate calling/operating function, on-
hold, or to cancel Secret mode.
Press for 2 sec. or more to turn ON/OFF the
power of the FOMA terminal.

Silent mode button
Use to enter "#", to start a new line or to switch
Macro mode while shooting.
Press for 1 sec. or more to start/cancel Silent
mode.

Voice input button
Use to activate photo taking screen, to switch
out/in camera or voice input for mail creation.
Press for 1 sec. or more to display camera
menu.

Use to shoot or send the image of yourself over
