Introducing the Mini Dock The Mini Dock (SMD-750E(L)) is designed for some of Samsung portable computers. Page 8: Connecting The Mini Dock
Connecting the Mini Dock This section gives you detailed information on connecting and disconnecting the Mini Dock with your Notebook PC. Turn off your computer or change the power management to REST Mode, before you connect or disconnect the Mini Dock, failing to do this may seriously damage your computer. - Page 9 Place your notebook PC on the Mini Dock.(Figure 4) Figure 4. Placing the system on the Mini Dock Push down the “open latch”. (Figure 5) Do not push the “open latch” too hard, it might damage the Mini Dock or your notebook PC. If the computer does not fit well with the Mini Dock, try steps again from step 2 .
- Page 10 Connect peripheral devices to the Mini Dock according to Figure 2 on page 2. Connect the AC adapter to the power cord connector before turn the computer on or wake up from the REST Mode. (Figure 6) The Mini Dock does not operate properly if the AC adapter is not connected.

Installing Software This part explains the installation method of connected devices’ software and usage. PC Card (PCMCIA card) If you connect the PCMCIA card for the first time to the Mini Dock, then Windows 98 operating system will detect the PC card and start installation automatically. - Page 13 Feature of LAN Cable LAN cable using on the Mini Dock Station is 100Ω UTP(Unshielded Twisted-Pair) cable, category 3 or category 5. If you use an cable instead of standardized cables (ANSI / TIA / EIA- 568-A), or connect a cable to RJ045 jack improperly, then Network will not process normally.
