    Page 4 onnecting the Printer Cable The SCX-1000 Series printer has two interfaces for wide connectivity; parallel and USB. If you are running Windows 98 or higher and your computer is equipped with a USB port, see page 2-6 for connection.
  • Page 12 Plug the other end into the USB port on the computer. Setting Up Your Printer onnecting the Power Cord The SCX-1000 Series printer has a power range of 110-240V AC. Plug one end of the power cable supplied to the connector on the rear of the printer.

    Page 8 oading Paper into the Input Tray Your printer has the Input Tray that can hold up to 150 sheets of paper. Pull the tray completely out of the printer. Slide the paper width and length guides to their outermost positions.

    The carrier slides horizontally across a track inside the printer. It must move into the installation position on the far left side of the printer to install the print cartridges. Do not pull the Print Cartridge Carrier by hand. Doing so may damage the printer.
