Using the Auto Power Defrost Feature The Auto Power Defrost feature enables you to defrost meat, poultry, fish. The defrost time and power level are set automatically. Cookware Guide To cook food in the microwave oven, the microwaves must be able to penetrate the food, without being reflected or absorbed by the dish used. Care must therefore be taken when choosing the cookware. If the cookware is marked microwave-safe, you do not need to worry. -

Many kinds of food are suitable for microwave cooking, including fresh or frozen veg- etables, fruit, pasta, rice, grains, beans, fish, and meat. Sauces, custard, soups, steamed puddings, preserves, and chutneys can also be cooked in a microwave oven. - Page 20 Cooking Guide(continued) DEFROSTING Microwaves are an excellent way of defrosting frozen food. Microwaves gently defrost frozen food in a short period of time. This can be of great advantage, if unexpected guests suddenly show up. Frozen poultry must be thoroughly thawed before cooking. Remove any metal ties and take it out of any wrapping to allow thawed liquid to drain away.

The turntable’s rotation makes the food brown more evenly. Preheating the grill for 4 minutes will make the food brown more quickly.
