The initial setting of this adapter allows the transmission rate to be
obtained automatically from 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1000 Mbps.
Depending on the network environment, the transmission rate may not be
obtained automatically. In this case, set the fixed transmission rate
according to the procedure described below.
□ Setting Link Speed rate
1 Click [Hardware] of [Control Panel] and then click [Device Manager] of [Devices and Printers]. In
the Device Manager window, double-click [Intel® PRO/1000 PT Dual Port Server Adapter] under
[Network adapters].
2 In the Property window, click the [Advanced] tab and then click [Link Speed & Duplex].
(Default: Auto Negotiation)
3 Select a transmission rate from [Value:] and click [OK].
4 Restart the system unit.
Do not change any item other than [Link Speed].
Restrictions on the half-duplex transmission at 10 or 100 Mbps
If the LAN Card is used with the transmission rate of 10M half-duplex or
100M half-duplex, change the setting of "Large Send Offload (IPv4)" or
"Large Send Offload (IPv6)" to "Disabled". For details about how to
change the setting, see page 18.
Click [Control Panel], [Network and Internet], [Network and Sharing
Center], and [Change adapter settings] in this order. The IP address can
be changed by clicking the [Properties] button of [Local Area Connection]
and selecting a property of "Internet Protocol Version * (TCP/Ipv*)". The
location of the LAN Card can be checked by clicking the [Configure]
button.
When more than one LAN Card are mounted, set different network IDs
(the part masked by a subnet mask) for individual Cards. If the same
network ID is set for more than one LAN Card, the system unit may lack
of stability.
