(D) Operation command and frequency command
Operation mode basics
● The operation mode specifies the source of the start command and the frequency command for
the inverter.
● Basically, there are following operation modes.
External operation mode: For inputting a start command and a frequency command with an
external potentiometer and switches which are connected to the control circuit terminal.
PU operation mode: For inputting a start command and a frequency command with the opera-
tion panel, parameter unit, or the RS-485 communication via PU connector.
Network operation mode (NET operation mode): For inputting a start command and a frequen-
cy command using the RS-485 terminals or communication option.
● The operation mode can be selected from the operation panel or with the communication
instruction code.
