1.2.1 Integrating Microsoft Exchange with CA Server

MS Exchange Setting
You can enable Microsoft Exchange Server integration for CA users. Users' presences change according to
specified keywords in events of their Exchange calendars. When Exchange Server is integrated with CA
Server, the schedule keyword list configured in CA Server will be downloaded by all CA Client users when they
first log in to CA Server. CA Server will also change extensions' presences based on Exchange calendar
information. For more information about the functionality of Exchange integration, refer to the CA Client Quick
Reference Guide. Follow the steps below to enable Microsoft Exchange Server integration for CA Server.
1.
Open the MS Exchange Setting screen in System Settings.
2.
Check the box next to Enable Exchange Schedule Integration.
3.
Specify the following settings:
IP address or name of the Exchange server
Port number of the Exchange server (default: 443)
Exchange Web Services address (default: "/EWS/Exchange.asmx")
Exchange administrator user name
Input the Exchange Server user account of the administrator.
Format: [user name]@[domain name]
Example: If the administrator's user account name is "admin", and the domain for the Exchange server
is "test.panasonic.com", enter "admin@test.panasonic.com".
Exchange administrator password
4.
Enter keywords and select associated presences from the drop-down list.
For example, enter the schedule keyword "meeting" and specify the presence "In a meeting". This means
that any user who has the word "meeting" in an Exchange schedule event will have their presence changed
to "In a meeting" for the duration of the scheduled event. Using the given example, if a user has a scheduled
event named "Monthly meeting" from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., that user's CA Client presence will automatically
change to "In a meeting" for that time. Afterwards, his or her presence will return to the first presence setting
in the presence drop-down list (default: "Available").
Note
Up to 40 schedule keywords can be entered.
