The pattern mode allows you to define a four character pattern that the
oscilloscope will recognize and generate a trigger event. When the inputs
satisfy the trigger pattern and conditions the HP 5450lA will trigger and
display the desired portion of the waveform.
The pattern mode is very useful for glitch detection because the HP
5450lA will trigger on a glitch and display the resulting waveform.
