Right-click the "Unallocated" area of [Disk 1], and
click [New Simple Volume...].

• The [Maximum disk space in MB] value depends
on the size and number of HDDs installed and the
RAID settings.
• Verify that the [Simple volume size in MB] value
matches the [Maximum disk space in MB] value.

Updating the Device Pack Version

Communication between network cameras and video
encoders is performed via device drivers developed
especially for each device and device drivers for multiple
similar devices from the same manufacturer. Device
drivers are installed by default during installation of the
recording server. However, you can update to the latest
device drivers by downloading and installing new
versions of the Device Pack.
Verifying the version of the installed
Device Pack

Verify the latest version of Device Pack at the
following URL.
https://www.sony.net/CameraSystem/NVMS/

Click the Start button (
taskbar.
The Start menu appears.

Click [Control Panel] in the Start menu.
The control panel appears.

Click [Programs].
The programs screen appears.

Click [Programs and Features].
The programs and features screen appears.

Select the Device Pack, and verify the Device Pack
product version.
If the installed Device Pack is not the latest version,
proceed to the next section, "Updating the Device
Pack."
