INSPECTIONS

1. Preparation
1.1 Conditions
Unless otherwise specified, use the following conditions.
UNIT ID switch setting : "0"
WORD CLOCK IN 75Ω switch setting : "ON"
MASTER CLOCK setting: "NETWORK"
PATCH setting: "00"
Use DME32 as the word clock signal source.
Insert "MYT8-AE" into the slot 1 of DME32.
Set MASTER CLOCK of DME32 to "INTERNAL".
1.2 Test program
Specify the TEST PROGRAM when performing inspections
using the test program.
Execute of the TEST PROGRAM to confirm that there is no
NG item.
1.3 Firmware version
The version of the firmware for NHB32-C (for jigs) used for
inspection is also specified as follows.

1.3.1 Confirmation of version
The version can be confirmed on the PC screen at the start-
up of the TEST PROGRAM.

PROGRAM.
2. Inspections
2.1 Connection

2.2 Jitter measurement
Measure the jitter with the MASTER CLOCK set to
"NETWORK" as follows.
q Set the MASTER CLOCK to "NETWORK".
w Measure the Fs jitter value at the CH1/2 output
of AES/EBU1.
e Check to ensure that the "LOCK" LED is lit.
Measure the jitter with the MASTER CLOCK set to
"WORDCLOCK IN" as follows.
q Set the MASTER CLOCK to "WORDCLOCK IN".
w Measure the Fs jitter value at the CH1/2 output
of AES/EBU1.
e Check to ensure that the "LOCK" LED is lit.
Measure the jitter with the MASTER CLOCK set to
"AES/EBU" as follows.
q Connect OUT of the AES/EBU unit to the CH1/2
(3/4, 5/6, 7/8) input of AES/EBU1 (2, 3, 4).
w Set the MASTER CLOCK to 1/2 (3/4, 5/6, 7/8) of
AES/EBU1 (2, 3, 4).
e Measure the Fs jitter value at the CH1/2 (3/4, 5/
6, 7/8) output of AES/EBU1 (2, 3, 4).
r Check to ensure that the "LOCK" LED is lit.
