6.1.2 TEST MODE
(1) Test Mode Condition
The MJ-L5 can use the adjustment modes in the following three combinations.
1 XC-L7 (CD receiver + Display unit) + MJ-L5 (MD)
2 XC-L5 (CD receiver) + MJ-L5 (MD) + System remote control unit (CU-XC004, CU-XC005, or CU-SP005)
3 XC-L5 (CD receiver) + MJ-L5 (MD) + Service remote control unit (GGF1067)
SET and CANCEL keys (for remote control unit) used in the item of "6.1.3 MD Mechanism Assy Adjustment and Check" are performed in the
combination 2.
In case of 1 : Both SET and CANCEL key operate with the remote control unit or the DISPLAY unit.
In case of 3 : SET and CANCEL keys on the remote control unit are replaced with SEARCH and CLEAR keys of the service remote control unit.
Note:
Although the MJ-L5 and XC-L7 can be directly connected, unrelated characters may be displayed in the rightmost two digits as they differ in
the number of digits for display. And they also differ in the power source, no playback sound is obtained from the receiver.
However, you can check the waveform at the pin 17 (PBR) and pin19 (PBL) of the system cable.
The service remote control cannot be used for the XC-L7.
(2) How to Start / Cancel Test Mode (Mechanism Assy Adjustment Mode)
