Overview

The AN-820A UHF Antenna is designed to be used with the wireless microphone receiving
system. It has the following features:
• All components including the dipole antenna and amplifier are built into the unit, for easy
handling and installation.
• The built-in amplifier, powered by the tuner, tuner base unit, antenna divider, or powered
mixer, etc. connected to the unit, amplifies the output signal to compensate for cable
transmission losses.
• According to the supply voltage, the gain of the built-in amplifier is automatically switched
as follows.
- 9 V DC: 10 dB
- 12 V DC: 18 dB
Note
The automatic switching of the gain of the built-in amplifier becomes effective only when
this unit is connected to the device whose output voltage is selectable between 9 V and 12
V. When the unit is connected to the device with 9 V output voltage, the gain of the built-
in amplifier is fixed to 10 dB.
• The unit has a drip-proof structure permitting under-the-eaves outdoor installation.
• The simple shape of the unit with its smoothly sloping symmetrical sides is designed to
match almost any location where it may be installed.
