Operate the switch to the 'on' position. The indicator light should go out and the engine should not start
when the ignition key is turned.
Parking brake interlock switch: Stop the engine. Engage the parking brake and turn the ignition key to
position 'I'. The parking brake indicator light should illuminate. Refer to OPERATING THE MOWER.
Disengage the parking brake. The indicator light should go out and the engine should not start when the
ignition key is turned.
Transmission neutral interlock switch: Stop the mower engine and engage the parking brake. Ensure that
the drive pedal is in the stop (neutral) position and turn the ignition key to position 'I'. The transmission neu-
tral indicator light should illuminate. Refer to OPERATING THE MOWER.
Depress the drive pedal. The indicator light should go out and the engine should not start when the ignition
key is turned. Carry out a similar check with the reverse travel pedal.
Note: The transmission neutral and parking brake indicator lights are connected in such a way that the trans-
mission neutral light will illuminate only when the drive pedal is in the stop (neutral) position and the parking
brake is engaged.
Should any indicator light fail to illuminate when expected, check for blown bulbs or fuses.
