Tethering and Mobile hotspot

This option allows you to share your phones's mobile data
connection via USB or as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot.
USB tethering
1. From the Home screen, tap
CONNECTIONS ➔ More networks ➔ Tethering and
mobile hotspot.
2. Connect your phone to your PC using a USB cable.
3. Tap USB tethering to add a checkmark and activate the
feature. The USB tethering icon
top of your screen.
Mobile Hotspot
1. From the Home screen, tap
CONNECTIONS ➔ More networks ➔ Tethering and
mobile hotspot ➔ Mobile hotspot.
2. Turn Mobile hotspot on by tapping the slider so that it
changes to the ON position

ap Configure.
4. Enter or edit the Network SSID, Hide my device,
Security setting, and Password as required (tap Show
password and Show advanced options if you want to see
them displayed).
5. Tap SAVE.
6. If you want to allow only specific devices to connect to
the hotspot, tap the device name (GALAXY_S4_XXXX
where XXXX is four randomly generated digits) and tap
Allowed device only.
7. Press

• Allowed devices: Enter the Device name and MAC address for
allowed devices.
• Timeout settings: allows you to set the time your device will
be available as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot.

devices
1. Activate Wi-Fi on the device that wants to connect to
your phone.
