    DVD-ROM & CD-R/RW Drive Cleaning We recommend cleaning the drive lens with an air puffer used for camera lenses. (Do not use any spray-type of lens cleaning products.) About Discs Do not use any discs that have become deformed, warped, or are not completely round. Depending on the condition (record quality, a crack, dirt, modification, copy protection, DVD recorder or disk maker used when creating the disc, etc.) of a disc, it may not be possible to be read it correctly.

B's Recorder: Enables you to create data CDs, music CDs, or video CDs, or copy CDs. B's CLiP: Enables you to copy or erase files and folders just as you would with a floppy disk.

    Smart Card Only for models with the smart card slot Inserting a Smart Card A smart card slot enables you to use the security functions that, for instance, prohibit the unauthorized use of the computer by anyone who does not have a smart card. To use a smart card, a special software application and driver are necessary.

    Smart Card Removing a Smart Card Press the eject button (B), and then press the button again. The smart card will come out of the slot a little bit. Slide the smart card out. CAUTION Remove the smart card only with the eject button. If you pull the smart card without using the eject button, it may cause damage to the reader contact.

    RAM module specifications: 200 pins, SO-DIMM, 1.8 V, DDR2 SDRAM, PC2-3200 (For information on the RAM modules that can be used, contact Panasonic Technical Support.) A PC2-4200-compliant RAM module can also be used, but it operates at the same speed as the PC2-3200-compliant RAM module.
