5.1-channel Surround System
This unit has a built-in 4-channel amplifier. The procedure
for setting up a 5.1-channel surround system in order to

play DVD software in a way that creates a "you are there"
feel in a car is described below.
Note:
¡ Even if you are using this unit without installing a center
speaker, surround speakers, or a subwoofer, it is still
necessary to make the speaker settings in order to
adjust the sound balance.

tions. You must contact your car dealer or manufacturer for
electrical connection instructions to avoid possible damage

death. (Please refer to the "WARNING" statement

Your next step is to decide where to install the unit. The
instructions in these pages will guide you through the
remaining steps:
¡Identify and label the car wires.
¡Connect the car wires to the wires of the power connec-
tor.
¡Install the unit.
¡Check the operation of the unit.
If you encounter problems, please consult your nearest
professional installer.

¡This unit operates with a 12 V DC negative ground
auto battery system only. Do not attempt to use it
with any other system. Doing so could cause serious
damage.
