The recall key (R)

You can use the Recall key R
such as 'Call waiting' (assuming that your phone provider offers this feature). The Recall key
is also used for internal recall or for forwarding a call when the telephone is being used in a
private exchange. The Recall key R

Changing the PIN (system PIN)

Some functions are only available if you know the PIN for the base unit.
The PIN has four digits. The default setting for the PIN is '0000'. The procedure for changing
the default PIN or to enter a new PIN is as follows:

Setting the dialling mode

There are two different dialling modes that may be used in telephones.
Multifrequency dialling (DTMF) or tone dialling (current, modern dialling method)
Pulse dialling (for older equipment).
Modern equipment is equipped with both functions, these can be changed depending on the
application. Tone dialling is needed for programming or operating functions, for instance, if
you are using the telephone on a private exchange. Where pulse dialling is used,
malfunctions can occur even in normal operation on private exchanges as the system
interprets the pulse dialling signals incorrectly.
