1. SAFETY
1.1.
General
DO NOT use the lantern if you suspect that the battery or the lantern casing is damaged.

DO NOT leave batteries in a discharged state. Before storage remove batteries and dispose of in the correct manor.

Battery Safety
WARNING! To reduce the risk of burns or fire:
DO NOT attempt to open the batteries.

DO NOT crush, puncture, short contacts or dispose of in fire or water.

DO NOT expose to temperatures above 60°C (140°).

Replace only with the batteries designed for this product.
Recycle or dispose of used batteries as stipulated by local regulation.
If the electrolyte in the batteries gets on your skin, thoroughly wash with soap and water. If it gets in your eyes, rinse thoroughly with
cool water and seek immediate medical attention.
2. INTRODUCTION
LED181:Composite case lantern with hanging handle. Operates 4 SMD LEDs that feature two selectable light settings producing up to 200
lumens of warm white light. Requires 3 x AA batteries (not included).
LED182:Composite case lantern with hanging/carry handle. Operates 10 SMD LEDs that feature three selectable light settings producing up to
400 lumens of warm white light. Requires 3 x D batteries (not included).

4. OPERATION
4.1.
Battery fitting/replacement.
4.1.1.
LED181:
4.1.1.1.
Open battery compartment by turning the bottom of the lantern anticlockwise.
4.1.1.2.
Insert 3 x AA batteries, observing correct polarity.
4.1.1.3.
Replace battery compartment cover and lock by turning clockwise.
4.1.1.4.
LED182:
4.1.1.5.
Open battery compartment by turning anticlockwise.
4.1.1.6.
Insert 3 x D batteries, observing correct polarity.
4.1.1.7.
To replace the battery compartment cover, ensure that the two posts which protrude from the cover locate in the apertures either side
of the battery nearest the switch.
4.1.1.8.
Turn clockwise to lock.
4.2.
Operation.
4.2.1.
LED181:
Press the switch once for high output, twice for low, a third time to switch off.
4.2.2.
LED182:
Press the switch successive times for: high, medium, low and off.
