Thank you for purchasing a Sealey product. Manufactured to a high standard this product will, if used according to these instructions
and properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. NOTE THE SAFE OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, WARNINGS AND
CAUTIONS. USE THIS PRODUCT CORRECTLY AND WITH CARE FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT IS INTENDED. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY
CAUSE DAMAGE OR PERSONAL INJURY, AND WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY. PLEASE KEEP INSTRUCTIONS SAFE FOR FUTURE USE.
1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
p WARNING! Disconnect the heater from the gas supply before changing accessories, servicing or performing any maintenance.
4 Keep the heater clean and in good working order.
4 Check that the heater is in sound condition and not damaged. Take immediate action to repair or replace damaged parts.
4 Use recommended parts only. Non recommended parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
4 Store gas cylinders in accordance with regulations applicable to such appliances.
4 Follow instruction to ensure there are no leaks in the gas connections. DO NOT use naked flame to check for gas leaks.
4 Ensure nothing is standing or passing immediately in front of the heater.
4 Use the supplied pressure regulator only.
4 Maintain a minimum distance of 540mm from walls, windows and other objects.
4 For outdoor use only, or in well ventilated areas. The heater operating area requires a minimum air volume of 260 cubic meters which
must also have adequate continuous ventilation.
4 Should the heater not work correctly immediately turn of the heater and ensure the gas valve is closed. Check the heater according
to instruction manual. If you are unable to resolve the problem contact your local service agent. DO NOT attempt to dismantle or make
any adjustments beyond that mentioned in these instructions. To do so may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
8 DO NOT use the heater if damaged. Take immediate action to repair or replace damaged parts. Use authorised service agent only.
8 DO NOT use heater in closed rooms, living areas, basements or below ground level or in area without adequate ventilation.
8 DO NOT allow untrained persons to ignite the heater.
8 DO NOT use a naked flame to try and ignite the heater.
8 DO NOT use the heater near flammable material, liquids, solids, or gases or in areas where spray painting is carried out.
8 DO NOT place any object less than 540mm distance from the heater.
4 Ensure the heater is correctly turned off when not in use.
4 When not in use store the heater in a safe dry area, out of reach of children.
p WARNING!
If the heater is used for prolonged periods at its maximum power, ice may form on the propane cylinder. This is due to excessive evaporation.
In such a case DO NOT use another heater to de-ice the cylinders. Allow the ice to melt naturally.

INTRODUCTION & TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
These heaters are for use out of doors or in large well ventilated indoor spaces. Heaters use Propane
gas to generate infra -red heat rays from the upper heat unit which is reflected onto locate areas by
a conical stainless steel plate inside the head shield. The radiant heat produces a warm area covering
approximately 25 m
depending on location conditions.

3. CONTENT & ASSEMBLY
3.1.
Model LP451R
Remove all pieces from packing and carefully lift the case which houses the gas bottle in order
to remove parts enclosed. Before assembly check parts according to the list below ensuring
they are complete and undamaged. Should you experience a problem contact your supplier immediately.
3.2.
Content: Aluminum reflector (11), Burner (5), Centre support post (2), base (1), screws, washers,
nuts, bolts, pressure regulator, gas pipe.
3.3.
Assembly
3.3.1. To ensure the unit is stable when in use the base (1) must be weighted. To do so locate the plastic plug in the
base and remove it. Fill the base with a dry heavy substance such as sand or fine shingle, then replace the plug.
3.3.2. Fix the centre support post (2) to the supporting bracket by means of the screws, washers and bolts included.
3.3.3. Place the gas bottle case (4) over the centre support and over the case support brackets.
3.3.4. Push the gas hose (fig1.D) onto the brass connector (B) at the bottom the the burner unit (A) and tighten the hose clip (C).
Whilst holding the burner unit carefully, pass the gas hose down through the centre support post until it protrudes from the bottom
and into the gas bottle case (To perform this task you may find it easier to lay the heater carefully on its side ensuring you do not
damage or scratch the unit).
3.3.5. Place the burner unit into the upper end of the centre support post and fix it with the bolts and washers provided.
