1 PREPARING PROTECTIVE TUBE
Cutting off the protective tube

Impossible cutting range of the protec-
tive tube is 50mm from the tip of the
protective tube.
<How to cut>
1. Insert the protective tube into "ø4

Find desired cutting point by using the
blade recess as a indicator.

Extending the protective tube
In case of extending the protective tube, use the protective tube extend-
ing joint MS-FX-02Y RSWLRQDO

<How to extend>
1. Assemble the protective tube extending

However, when tightening the union nut
on the body, keep a space so that the
protective tube can be inserted.
2. Insert the protective tube for extending
IURP WKH ¿EHU HQG
3. Insert the protective tube extending joint
IURP WKH ¿EHU WLS RU ¿EHU HQG 
4. Adjust the joint of the protective tube
with the center position of the protective
tube extending joint. Tighten the union
nut by hand till it is firmly fixed, then
slowly further tighten the nut one and a
half turns by using a wrench.

2 MOUNTING ON A TANK
When mounting this product on a tank,

Mount the product on a tank under the
condition that a pressure is not applied
to the tank and the liquid temperature
is between -10 to +40°C.

4. Wind a sealing tape on the tank attach-
ing potion of the fiber mounting joint,
then mount on the tank. Tighten the

3 MOUNTING OF FIBER ATTACHMENT
Mount the fiber attachment FX-AT4 DFFHVVRU\ RQ WKLV SURGXFW EHIRUH

7KLV SURGXFW PXVW EH FXW ZLWK WKH ¿EHU FXWWHU FX-CT3 before insertion into

of the protective tube should be left with the fiber attachment mounted.
However, in case of mounting a liquid preventive joint MS-FX-01Y RSWLRQDO 
30mm or more cables from the liquid preventive joint is required.
Take care that the sensing performance may deteriorate depending on
WKH FXWWLQJ FRQGLWLRQ RI WKH ¿EHU FDEOHV HQGV
<How to mount>
1. Mount the holder on the gland lightly.
2. Insert the fiber cables into the holder

3. Tighten the holder.
4. Insert the fiber cables into the holes

Insert the fiber cables till the fiber at-
tachment stops.
