- Page 2 ABOUT THE SIMULATOR Life/form Venipuncture and Injection Demonstration Arm may be used to practice venipuncture, IV ® placement, intramuscular injection, and suturing. Although this practice and demonstration arm is considered disposable, with proper care and treatment it will serve its purpose for a long period of time. The life of the skin may be prolonged by utilizing smaller needle sizes (20- to 25-gauge recommended).
